Benefits
Is teletherapy right for you?
Online therapy isn't a compromise — for most people, it's the better option.
Access therapy from anywhere in Ohio
Whether you're in Columbus, Cleveland, Athens, or a rural area with limited local providers, telehealth puts a licensed therapist within reach. Distance and location shouldn't stop you from connecting with the right provider for you.
No commute, no waiting room
Save time and reduce friction. Log in from home, your office, or anywhere private — your session starts when you're ready. Let the dog out, grab them a treat, pour yourself a coffee, and settle in.
Flexible scheduling around your life
Evening and daytime slots available. Telehealth makes it easier to prioritize your mental health without rearranging everything else. Kids? Work schedule? Life? We get it — we'll coordinate with you to find the right time to make space for when you need space.
Equally effective as in-person therapy
Research consistently shows telehealth therapy delivers outcomes comparable to face-to-face sessions for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
Greater privacy and comfort
Some clients open up more easily from a familiar environment. Telehealth removes barriers — physical and psychological — that can slow progress.
Telehealth may not be the best fit for every situation. If you're in crisis or need intensive in-person support, we'll help connect you with the right level of care.
Your experience
What to expect
A straightforward, secure experience built around your comfort.
Secure video or phone sessions
Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Video sessions require no downloads — join directly from your browser. Phone sessions are available for clients who prefer audio-only.
Your client portal
Everything you need is in one HIPAA-secure client portal: paperwork, scheduling, and billing. You’ll receive a secure login before your first appointment. A session link is sent about 15 minutes before each session, and you can opt into appointment reminders via text.
In-person option on Saturdays

FAQ
Teletherapy questions
Is teletherapy effective for anxiety and depression?
Yes. Research shows telehealth therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person sessions for anxiety, depression, life transitions, and most concerns we treat. Our therapists use the same evidence-based approaches — CBT, DBT-informed, and person-centered — regardless of format.
What do I need for a telehealth session?
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a private space where you can talk freely. That's it. We use a HIPAA-secure video platform — no downloads required.
Can I do sessions by phone instead of video?
Yes. Phone sessions are available for clients who prefer audio-only or have limited video access. Talk with your therapist about what works best for you.
Are your telehealth therapists board certified?
Yes. Yiannoula Mavroidis, Dr. Staci Tessmer, and Hayle Fisher all hold the Board Certified-TeleMental Health (BC-TMH) credential — a specialized certification in delivering ethical, effective care via telehealth.
Do you offer teletherapy throughout all of Ohio?
Yes. Resilient Wellness Ohio is licensed to provide telehealth therapy to residents anywhere in the state of Ohio — from the Cleveland metro to rural and southeastern Ohio.
