FAQs

Is therapy right for me?

If you are reading this now, you are hoping to get some type of relief or support. I imagine not the best of circumstances brought you to begin your search or inquire about therapeutic services. Below are some reasons why people choose to participate in therapy:

  • Life Transition (new job, change in relationship, greif)

  • Personal Growth, exploration, and develop self-compassion

  • Break unhealthy habits, cope ahead plan or desire to change

How often do I come to therapy?

Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly. We create a customized plan that meets your goals. Depending on how much support you desire/need influences your session frequency. The duration of therapy varies and is dependent on the depth of your goals and commitment to emotional growth.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, Resilient Wellness reserves a limited amount of sliding scale slots for clients in financial hardship. You are encouraged to inquire if you are interested in participating in services and can not afford the full fee.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. Resilient Wellness accepts payments via HSA, FSA, Debit, and all major credit cards. You can email RW directly at Info@ResilientWellnessOhio.com with more questions about accepted payment methods and session rates.

Do you offer a Superbill?

I will provide you with a superbill upon request. You can use this paperwork to file with your insurance provider for potential partial or full reimbursement. This is your responsibility to coordinate with your insurance provider. You are encouraged to contact the insurance provider directly to learn more about your plan’s specific out-of-network benefits. Some insurance providers allow you to submit the superbill electronically via your online portal for more convenience.

Do you take insurance?

Insurance companies dictate how many sessions you are allotted and require a diagnosis to cover your services. Healthcare providers paneled with insurance providers are required to submit documentation compromising your confidentiality. This may influence your health insurance or life insurance policy rates.

As your therapist and advocate for your well-being, I strongly believe you should have access to care without restrictions or contingencies. I’m considered an out-of-network provider as I am not paneled with any insurance companies. Your records are kept completely secure and confidential.

No one will ever know you were in therapy if you do not want them to.

What is the No Surprises Act (“Good Faith Estimate”)?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • You may obtain a good faith estimate upon request before scheduling an initial appointment and/or before you schedule an item or service. *It is difficult and, at times, impossible to estimate how many appointments you will need until your concerns are evaluated.

  • You are free to discontinue services at any time. Additionally, the provider may terminate services as outlined in the informed consent document.

  • Fees are listed in the informed consent and will remain in effect for 12 months unless otherwise stated.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
